Coffee with Beer
Coffee and beer? Sounds crazy—but it tastes amazing and is a real surprise, even as a "hangover breakfast"—though not just for that.
The rich, roasted flavors of espresso combined with the malty depth of a dark beer make for an absolutely delicious drink. It’s the perfect drink for anyone who loves something special. Whether for brunch, as a highlight to cap off the workday, or to make a big impression at your next after-work dinner
Ingredients
1 espresso (about 30–40 ml), cooled
80 ml beer (e.g., Guinness)
1 cl sugar syrup or maple syrup (optional)
Ice cubes
Preparation
Make an espresso and let it cool.
Fill the glass with ice cubes.
Pour in the espresso.
Add sugar syrup to taste (optional).
Pour the beer in slowly—preferably along the rim of the glass.
Stir gently. Cheers!
